2008 Presidential Race bracketology.

OK, no money on the line here, so you apolitical types please put in your predictions. It's just bragging rights, and at this point nothing is too far-fetched.

Here are the candidates with at least a slim chance to win, feel free to add another if needed (the veep may not come from this list):

Democrats:
Joe Biden
Wesley Clark
Hillary Clinton
John Edwards
Al Gore
Dennis Kucinich
Barack Obama
Bill Richardson

Republicans:
Sam Brownback
Newt Gingrich
Rudy Giuliani
Chuck Hagel
Mike Huckabee
John McCain
Ron Paul
Mitt Romney

Give your final four, primary winners plus veep candidate, and finally our next president.

Final four:
I have to think Edwards just doesn't distinguish himself enough, so it'll come down to Clinton vs. Obama. On the other side, McCain is dragged down by his support for that ridiculous campaign finance reform law, so it's Giuliani vs. Romney.

Primary winners:
Giuliani, with Condi Rice as his veep.
Clinton, with Richardson as her veep. Obama is offered the job, but smartly refuses, recognizing he'll be the front-runner in 2016 no matter who wins.

Next President:
Giuliani. His liberal stand on social issues pisses off the far-right, but most of them hold their noses and vote for him anyway, and he gets a lot of the moderate swing votes.

I agree with Clinton & OSama , but like OSama to take the primary and pick up a southern vet as VP to get the cracker vote, a Blue Dog like John Barrow (I can't think of any others) or one of those other Georgia congressmen. Not that faggot John Edwards, though.

(My Dark Horse Candidate is Gore in a surprise. He has to pay those monstrous electrical bills and jet aircraft costs somehow. He'll pick Robert Mugabe, Chavez or Pol Pot for VP)

On the GOP side, I think Newt Gingrich takes it over McCain. I think Giuliani will fall as his weirdness (e.g., adultery, consorting with Homos, gun control advocate, atheist, pederast, New Yorker etc) starts to come out in the mainstream press; no one actually likes that scold McCain, and although I’ve never met an LDS that I didn’t like, Romney wears funny underclothes. Condi's a tough one: the GOP doesn’t like the blacks, but she’s utterly incompetent and fiercely loyal, the twin attributes of your modern GOP. She's also counter Osama. But, with its cracker in the bag, its prejudices deep-rooted, and the need for Christian heft, the GOP will select Tom "Not James" Coburnas VP.

America won’t vote for an African African-American and the GOP mercifully win to preserve the divided government.

I'd love to see Romney v. Osama, just to watch America squirm over its prejudices. You'd have the lowest turnout, and highest third party gains in history

Al Gore and Bill Clinton veep. VICTORY!

As for Hillary running, I'm all for it, but apparently she won't get the popular support she needs. I'd vote for her.
Also, wouldn't mind a Hillary Clinton Pres Bill Clinton VP ticket. :)
And Obama? I'd be quite suprised if he can pull the needed votes in the South. Remember that Confederate Flag issue that keeps coming out in the South?

(and I'd vote for Al Gore/Bill Clinton combo even though I'm Green. Generally can't even get a Green to debate in Presidential primaries, which is weak sauce!)

Giuliani /McCain <-- both suck. I lived in NYC with Giuliani, briefly. The cops were given the 'thumbs up' to kick ass on homeless and minorities. It wasn't pretty, I saw a few incidents.

(However, growing up in CC (w/the jerky quirky CC moustached cops), I immediately knew not to mess w/NY Cops. NY Cops bust people in the mouth w/a nightstick for no reason...
SF Cops are the nicest I've met EVER in my life... Bizarre!)

It's now October 8th, 2007.. just revising my Veep predictions:

No change on the final four... although Fred Thompson could beat out Romney for GOP runner-up.

Final slates:
Giuliani/Huckabee
vs.
Clinton/Clark

Huckabee gives Giuliani cred with the far right, and Wesley Clark gives Clinton military cred.

GOP still wins overall.
